The footbridge Passerelle des 3 pays

The footbridge is a link between Huningue in France and Weil am Rhein in Germany.
The footbridge "Passerelle des 3 pays" has been built off-site in the port of Huningue in 2006. On 09 November 2006, the footbridge, 1012 tons of steel, has been loaded on two barges.

A public festival has been organised on 30 June and 01 July 2007 on both sides of the river Rhine.
The footbridge is situated 150 meters north of the border triangle France, Germany, Switzerland or "corner of the 3 frontiers"
(French : le coin des 3 frontières, German : das Dreiländereck).
With a span of 230 m it is the longest footbridge in the world.
